DALLAS, August 11, 2016 – Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global leader in security software and solutions, is once again integrating young men and women into a professional business atmosphere through a successful summer internship program. Established in 2013, the internship, the initiative provides insight into the cybersecurity industry by opening the doors to not only college students and recent high school graduates by providing real-world opportunities in their Global Operations Headquarters in Irving/Las Colinas, Texas, located near Dallas.
“The interns, known as, “TrendTerns,” have an amazing opportunity to earn academic scholarships while gaining real-world experience,” said Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro. “Since the development of this internship, we have been guiding young adults as they develop an early start to their career paths.”
Jacob Moore, a customer service intern, gave insight into his average workday and how it affects him not only as an employee at Trend, but also as an average young adult.
“Throughout my internship with Trend Micro, I have been interacting and conversing with new people every day,” said Moore. “This has helped me develop both my social and public speaking skills in a positive manner.”
