Trend Micro Deep Security as a Service Achieves PCI DSS Level 1 Certification
Validated service to help companies simplify and accelerate PCI compliance

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704TSE: 4704), the market leader in server security, announced today that Trend Micro Deep Security as a Service has been validated as compliant with PCI DSS as a Level 1 Service Provider. Trend Micro customers have long trusted Deep Security to provide critical controls required by PCI such as Intrusion Prevention (IPS), Integrity Monitoring, Anti-malware and more. Recently, the company underwent a rigorous audit by Coalfire Systems, Inc., an independent Quality Security Assessor (QSA), which attested that Deep Security as a Service has been validated as compliant with PCI DSS 3.2.

“With a broad set of controls in a single product, Deep Security helps organizations reduce the scope of an annual PCI assessment and streamline overall compliance,” said Forrest McMahon, director of technology advisory and assessment services from Coalfire. “With PCI DSS Level 1 certification, organizations can now use Deep Security as a Service for PCI workloads and leverage multiple built-in controls to simplify the compliance process.”

Deep Security safeguards enterprises by preventing network attacks and stopping advanced threats like ransomware. With the Software as a Service (SaaS) version, Deep Security as a Service, Trend Micro manages the underlying infrastructure, product updates and maintenance—reducing the work required for set up, configuration and ongoing management of a security tool.

“We safeguard thousands of customers against critical threats to their servers with Deep Security as a Service—and have delivered more than 150 million hours of protection since our launch,” said Mark Nunnikhoven, vice president of cloud research at Trend Micro. “Our PCI certification is continuing proof of Trend Micro’s dedication to delivering an enterprise security solution that simplifies and accelerates PCI compliance.”
